Starting Over
We've kinda abandoned the blog for a bit; been caught up looking for jobs and exploring the new city we live in (which by the way we love!) We're going to get back to blogging and share with everyone our new experiences here in Portland and everywhere we travel.

Its almost D-Day!!
It's almost time for Lauren and I to grab our things and move to Portland! The mixed feelings are kicking in and the boxes are getting filled. I did want to at least have Lauren post about her Christmas and new year, and some about the packing before we take a break. We'll be back and posting more than ever now that we'll live together and be able to share more thoughts together:) plus with our cameras combined, this will be lots of fun! Can't wait!!! Looking forward to what 2012 has to offer!

D.I.Y Custom Pinboard
I've had a pinboard lying around for so long and I've always wanted to put it up but I never knew what to put up until recently. I decided to make a calender, put my white board on it and pin any kind of reminders and pictures!I was happy it was up but it still looked boring to me! So I headed over to Joann's and bought some fabric and a trim to make it more appealing and one of a kind. I Love how it turned out so I thought I'd share with you how you can make you're reminders much more appealing. 1) I got fabric, a trim, scissors, and a glue gun. 2) I laid the fabric out flat and made sure there were no wrinkles and started to glue the back of the board. 3) I cut the trim into four pieces (2 width 2 length) and glued it to the rim of the board. 4) I glued down the trim a bit so it didn't stick up as much.I just can't get over how it turned out! such a difference! I can't wait to get crafts like this done with Lauren when we move! It's coming up so quick I can"t wait!

Dia de la Virgen de Guadalupe
It's that time of year again! My mom every years help put together the service and the food for Dia de la Virgen de Guadalupe and of course she volunteers me to help out too (Thanks mom!). The first year we did this I kinda dreaded it until we arrived at church and I saw how well my mom and her group put this together. I've always been proud to be Mexican but it's events like these that make me realize how rich our culture is, Putting a GIANT proud smile on my face. They gather different kinds of dancers and have a service in mostly Spanish (which is a pretty big deal at my church this doesn't happen often) She also has a friend that lets us borrow authentic Mexican dresses that are so colorful and pretty for us to wear. I'm not a very religious person but I really admire how our culture is humble and dedicated to their religion. Plus lets not forget how delicious Authentic Mexican food is, YUM!
My mom already told me she has a dress for me and I'm in charge of taking pictures this year so this should be exciting!(I'm not a photographer, so please don't judge the photos I post later) I'm also excited for later that day because I'm taking my parents out to dinner at a Thai restaurant for my Dad's Birthday and then we're gunna go to see the Nutcracker Ballet! So I'll do my best to post photos of everything. [my apologize for not posting as often as I'd like. Working two jobs and going to school is harder than I thought:( But with Finals almost over I should have some more time write more often;) ]

Snow globe
This time of year, the weather reminds me of a snow globe. It's a never ending sky filled with clouds and rain and it makes me oh so happy. Adriana, Eddie and I went to the farmers market this morning and then got coffee and walked around Los Gatos. It's a perfect afternoon to light candles, play vinyl records and day dream of the day we move to Portland and enjoy coffee and each others company day in and day out. I think of Adriana and Pamela as sisters and I can't wait to be one big happy family in two months exactly once we make the big move up north.

New State, New Room
Pamela here, last week was quite the week for me! I've been a nervous wreck thinking about how I'll tell my parents that I'm moving 1,000 miles away from them so I decided to tell them separately. In the end I freaked out for no reason because they took it extremely well. They even decided to start making plans of their own of moving out of this big ol' house and move into a cozier house in a sweet little area. I'm so happy with how everything worked out; and now I feel like this move is soo official! With that being said, I am starting over with furniture which is kinda exciting to find new things and ideas of how to decorate my room. These are some inspirations I have so far!
I really can't wait til I have my room finished in front of me! (thank goodness for pinterest helping me find ideas!)
Hooplah
We need to figure out a way to put up some more posts, if you can give us some ideas please do. We want to have at least two a week. Here's a blog post we think will be helpful. So we'll take her advice and get this guy going!
